re: Comparisons - Borovets and Pamporovo

I have been watching and occasionally adding to this site and never received any negative feedack, but back to the question, i have been to Borovets 6 times now and going again this year, for a group it is great as there are plenty of runs you can all enjoy together as their ability progresses, as for the more competent skiers there are a range of runs at the top, though not particularly long can be quite testing, and to add further fun you have the option of heading over to the avalanche ...

Got to agree with Arron. The only time I saw the bottom end closed whilst I was there was the year before last - late March, and that was a poor year. Last year I went top to bottom in Jan (including Smolyan Lakes) and in early March did the same run as Pete (Interski) in the video.

Wouldn't say the bottom closes regularly, kept an eye on it last year and seemed to be open majority of the season.

Thank you Jo -

The reason I have been quiet lately if you must know is that my wife is suffering from Cancer and I have been looking after her through her ordeal. Just recently I learned my brother now has Protate Cancer which has added to the problems I am now dealing with.

Please forgive me if you feel I have not been on here as much as you think I should - but having been to Bulgaria every year for the past 22 years I do feel I am qualified to give an accurate assesment on most ...

Please forgive me if you feel I have not been on here as much as you think I should - but having been to Bulgaria every year for the past 22 years I do feel I am qualified to give an accurate assesment on most topics when I can donate the time to being on here.

As I have been looking after this board for almost 9 years now and made many many new friends through it then I 'm sure there will be others who will want to slag off my very existance - but I'll continue to do my best whatever the likes of them say about me.

My 100% commitment on here always has been and always will be to help people to enjoy their holidays, and to tell the truth.

Pete

Cool

Pete,

Where I am sorry for your wife it doesnt change the point I was making. It is my opinion that this site is better for your absence because of the aggressive way you treat posters not of your clique.

You undoubtedly put some posters off. I notice that you have just published the rules on another thread, the fact remains that those rules are abused by you yourself and that you allow a selected few to break them at will, and that is what I find uncomfortable about this site.

I pity your wife for more than her illness, from which I sincerely hope she recovers.
