Snowshark......if you are a good skier and are used to black runs, the black slopes in Pamporovo is for you a hard red. But the fun is speed and big turns, and Pamporovo have enough of those slopes. If you ski in a black slope, you will have it by yourself. We went down it, and the only 2 person we met were 2 girls from a ski school trying to get down to their hotel. Hope they are not up there yet. :-)

re: Comparisons - Borovets and Pamporovo

Just to put my two penn'orth in; as an occasional poster here, I have generally found PP to be fair, and the majority of his posts are helpful - he can sometimes get a bee in his bonnet, but then again who doesn't?

As an average skier, i can do Tower to ski shack in about 7 minutes, without scaring myself s***less.

We actually do have Plovdiv flights this year, with Balkan; from Humberside - but apparently they only go there in February!

C*** W****!

Troll, thanks for the post. Much appreciated.

A slope to myself sounds good.

Often goes that way at Borovets too.

I'm just waiting to see what snow arrives before I book anywhere.

Thanks.

Very Happy

re: Comparisons - Borovets and Pamporovo

I have to say I am despairing of this board at the mo and as for Jo's comment "I pity your wife for more than her illness...." I am actually - unusual for me! - lost for words! What a sick, silly and utterly disgusting comment to make!!!!! Crying Crying Crying Crying Crying Crying Crying Jo - I very strongly believe in "what comes around goes around" - by God do I hope you get yours.

It's a shame such things came onto this thread as it wasn't about personal issues.

It was originally all about comparing resorts. It's a shame that some individuals have to resort to personal attacks on those they probably don't even know. Kim has made a valid point.

Thanks ski1. The Salamander is a regular stop when I'm there.
