Interesting points BigBulgar. While I find some of them valid - certainly in respect to the greedy and rude approach adopted by many of BG's leading resorts, I have to doubt the legitimacy of your comments due to the fact that you appear to be posting via various anonymous proxy servers. Your first post from a Hong Kong ISP, second from Greece, and third and final post from Germany.It just seems very odd.

Rosie, we went for the first time this year and really you have no need to worry. Since we were with the children, we stuck to the hotel lobby bar in the evening (hotel Lion) which was lovely. We were physically tired anyway, so a quiet sit playing games with the children and friends was perfect. As a result we saw no drunken or loutish behaviour. As for being ripped off etc to be honest you take precautions whether here or abroad eg I always check my supermarket receipt and if we are going ...

We had no problems in Borovets apart from the weather getting warm and the snow quality diminishing, but that is out of anyone's control.
Go and enjoy, from what we saw, there are no more problems there than in any tourist resort.
