Exchange rate

Sorry another question Does anyone know what the exchange rate for Brit £ to Lev's is at the mo I've been told to buy them out there just get some here in England to last a day or two first. Will all Travel agents/ banks have levs

Yesterday on the msn currency converter it was 2.83 lev to the quid! Not bad.

you cant take any money in or out of the country, i was told its illegal

You can take money in, but not out - and that's providing you can get it. People have been having problems recently getting hold of Lev in the UK

To give you more info - My group of 8 are off on Sat 10th to Borovets, staying at 4* Rila half board, insurance, lift passes, hire etc for less than £400 per person, booked with Thomas Cook.

Got some yesterday from Going Places but had to order last week, got about 2.65 as the exchange rate (i think).

NatWest were pretty vague and unsure whether they could get it.

May well be restrictions on amounts you can take in or out but if it was completey illegal I doubt I would have got it over the counter in the Travel Agent.
