It most defno is. Charging to go to the lav. OMG.
Bulgaria is currently a rip off with greedy ass wipes who will spoil it for themselves.
People should be able to eat and drink at a fair price which is difficult to do, its not in the UK. What amazed me most this season was the number of people who suggested taking cereal bars to eat during the day as prices are so high. WTF. Do them same people take them on holiday to spain or greece?

lack of snow (ok loads now but not earlier on) + credit cruch + rip off prices for everything from a pint to a taxi = bulgaria not very busy.

Don't know but they do take them to ski resorts in France if you believe what posters are saying on other forums plus they are making their own sandwiches for lunch to save money. Don't believe me just read what other skiiers say they're doing on other skiing forums.

No-one will argue about france being expensive, but significantly better in many respects.

Not many tourists or skiers pass the White Hart in the middle of pamps sight seeing during the day.

I don't thinks that greed is just a Bulgarian problem, I think its a problem throughout Eastern Europe.- can somebody from GB explain to me what cosed the problems on the real estate markets in GB ?

markm, But according to what some skiiers are saying in other forums they are not buying lunch on the hill at some French resorts because they don't feel they're getting a fair price despite it being 'better'.I have not been this year, but you seem to be a very special person to eat drink at a fair price or someone who has lots of money.
No on both counts. Is £7 pounds for a meat platter at a ski resort expensive?

Nico my point is not directed at the real estate market it is directed at the bar and cafes etc. Just because I live in the UK I don't see why when I go to Bulgaria, Lativa or Russia I should pay more in the same bar than the locals. To me that's ripping off the tourist, something I don't like and I know for a fact it doesn't happen in my country so why should I accept in anywhere else.Unfortunately a lot of Eastern European country just make the rules up as they go along.

If I go to a bar in the UK a bottle of stella costs say £2.50 not matter where you come from, UK, USA, Bulgaria, Timbuktoo. Also no matter who you are, Joe Bloggs, Alan Sugar, Richard Branson or Gordon Brown (they should charge him treble).
With reference to French ski resorts, OK they are more expensive than bulgaria but if you look at the mark up from raw material cost to selling price, Bulgaria is SIGNIFICANTLY higher. ...

I don't mind paying £3/£4 for a pint if I know that the waiter/waiteress is getting a reasonable wage, but I refuse to pay those prices when I know they are getting paid about 50p per hour or are working for tips. With the greedy owners creaming off all the profits, not only ripping the customer off but also his/her staff.re: Greed is the reason why Bulgaria is changing so much !! Discuss
we go over and over the same points, firstly the people running the bars in say Boro, are mostly renting the bars, and they pay some £10-15 k for the privalege with say a 12 week season so they have to recover their costs, but it is still cheap, we have started running race training for our juniors, this year it was £350 per head all in, to do the the same in France is £650-900 per week plus flights!!! also we get a lot more help/friendly acceptance than we would in France or Austria
