The reason why they should give you your money back is because 'you purposely chose that hotel'. One hotel is only 'better' with regards to funishings etc. If you know two people each of whom have stayed in either or both hotels and they recommend a hotel to you - you book it on their recommendation (not some TO's brochure) then that recommendation is worth much more.

Perhaps you have friends/family also staying in that hotel etc.

If you plead your case they will bump someone else who doesn't try as hard as you.

or don't perhaps the other hotel will serve egg and chips as well and show eastenders on tv in the bar everynight for you too.

I agree with Dilli gill.I am and travel agent and have listened to lots of complients about that hotel i have also stayed in it twice and would not go back now.
I am just back from Pamp ( stayed in the Zora hotel) and had mates staying the Pamp Hotel some rooms are fine some are not.Downside also was they had to get taxis into town at night and they are last picked up on ski bus. Also this year they do seem to overbook alot. If i was you i would go for the Orlavits, far better hotel and very central, you can walk out front door go across road to perilick for bowling and such and great range of nightlife. Go for it 6 of you in one and 2 in other. if the 2 cant make it home im sure they could crash with you lot in Olavets lol Have fun whatever you do

they are right about location of orlavitz - there is an underground tunnel to perelik and that is where all the craic is - its also beside BJ's the other disco. I know people who stayed in Hotel Pamp last year and they came to the Perelik every night (And the taxi's are a rip off).

Perelik is basic but worth it for location - Orlavitz is a sister hotel (thus the tunnel) but completely and totally atmosphereless. On the other hand the food is nice. Why don't you try to get your whole group moved there?
