Home from Pamps yesterday & feel I just have to give my opinion as if I'd read all these negative comments before we went I'd have been suicidal! We had a brilliant time! Prices same as home.

I don't consider PAMPOROVO Pete's opinion to be biased, i know for a fact that Pete has skied in other countries and other resorts in Bulgaria, Pamporovo is a growing resort with more activities each year, this year well in a couple of weeks a new vehicle that can carry 18 adults with catapillar tracks up the mountain for site seeing tours will be available this will be the 1st in Bulgaria, i believe they will be serving mulled wine on route. Ps today it is snowing x

Think you should lay off a bit there. Pamps holds a great deal of good memories for a lot of people and these people will always defend it. It's human nature and not some evil act. Yes Pamps has its problems but maybe the negative attitude that has infected this forum forms a small part of the equation. Don't get me wrong cause i'm going to bansko but unlike some i wish all the resorts in bulgaria the best for the future.

re: Is Pamporovo finished?

well Pamporovo is buzzing with holiday makers having a good time day and night so it speaks for its self, if it were becoming un popular it would not be busy, regardless of any buisiness interest my family simply love living here and have just enjoyed a wonderful white Christmas for the 4th year running and we could not think of a better place to be. I look out of my window and see snow on the ground, children making snow men whilst i sit in front of my log fire all toast and warm. My ...

I look out of my window and see snow on the ground, children making snow men whilst i sit in front of my log fire all toast and warm. My husband travels to sofia twice weekly and it has never taken him more than 3 and a half hours, when he does not stop to admire the view in the happy grill it takes 3 hours but i guess the distractions at the happy grill make the extra 30 minites worth while Very Happy

OK, as an innocent bystander who has only arrived on these forums fairly recently, it occurs to me that there are several axes being grinded here, thus making any meaningful debate impossible.

The comment 5 posts earlier obviously is made on the basis of some history, which is basically irrelevant to 99 per cent of forum users, unless either statement has been proven in a court of law.

So, given that the thread has descended into slander and will probably descend even further, by the look of it, can I politely request that the thread be locked or withdrawn. It's pretty distasteful and brings the discussion board into disrepute. I shouldn't imagine the operators of Bulgariaski.com would be too happy if major advertisers started pulling out and thereby threatening the future of the site.

Like I say, I'm a relative newbie but have enjoyed dipping into the site. I've made the odd enquiry and observation and hope to ski in Pamporovo later this season. I wouldn't like this site to be closed down due to aggressive and possibly actionable observations being made on the discussion board.
