Shelly, don't worry too much about your board, enjoy it and if the base looks wrecked with scratches hopefully all it needs is a bit of repair and waxing ready for your next trip, I get my board made new again at the end of each holiday in the resort cheaper than here, for me anyway.
Also just back. Very warm - 19degrees in the town in the afternoon! I thought the slopes that were open were often too busy and that although the ski road down is pretty easy (even for a novice like me) the idiots who insist on speeding down and quite frankly showing off can make it a pretty hairy ride. Had to laugh though when one guy (not British) flew off the side into the stream - Very lucky NOT to hit a tree but still needed the skidoo down.

Have to say that the kids LOVED it - ski school excellent, but the extensive building work made the town look dirty and very unfinished. I fear that Bansko will become a victim of its own success because when all the apartments/hotels are finished and full, the slopes will never be able to take the load. I hope to return in the summer because I believe the walking is superb. Does anyone know of any climbing schools that operate?
