Hi Glynis

Can't believe I was only thinking of you yesterday and wondering how you and your venture are getting on.

Would be good to hear how things are going as I enjoyed your news this time last year and the banter involved in trying to find a suitable name for your abode!!

Sadly Bansko in the UK still only feature's in the new edition brochure's for next season with Balkan and Neilsen - pity more will not try this new winter haven.

Typical British, uneasy at trying something new, something different, something against our 'own' conventions.

Hello Glynis

Thankyou for your reply, it was a pity we did not get to speak before i came out to Bansko as i am sure you would have been able to show us some of the places to go and see. How do we find out which hotel you own without you getting into trouble? Smile

Hello, Julie,
I don't know what you are talking about TV saga and soap, because I, unlike everyone else on this site, have been to Bansko for the first time in 1984. So I do know the place first hand.
One other thing, I fully agree with you that the locals are rude, they do drive me crazy. But I have had fantastic evenings in the mehanas, so could not avoid the comment. Also to say that the gondola lift is boring is odd, you just had to look out of the window.
Otherwise I am actually ...

Otherwise I am actually delighted to see negative comments about Bansko, this will give me a chance to to ski more in the future.

Just wondering if the Balkan Rep Darren is the same guy who works in Sunny Beach in the summer, If it is he was a wonderful guy when we met him last year.

Julie is just making a point !!!
Read the brochure from Balkens and everything including the food is Fab and great value for money, granted lift passes etc are good value but the rest ????
I spent £550 to go on a plane that rebuilt from ww2,ate food that the dog would have thrown back at me and this was in a 5 star hotel and by the way on the first night the resturant was full, the remainder of the week the waitresses were redundant as virtually everyone went out to eat.

You have certainly set the ball going on this one
seems people are scared of a few home truth''s its not as though you are slating the place, just giving an honest report which in fairness it is.
