i cant believe that this site has only just started saying that you cant ski at pamps, it should have said it a month ago.
Lets hope they have some snow cannons working next year and they might stand a chance
if not i'm off to scotland for my late season skiing! http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Nevis-Range/conditions
You would need 200 snow cannons to make any real difference. Even then the temps would need to be right in order for them to be used, and as the lake that fed the few that are there has now been drained...... well, don't hold your breathe or you may turn blue.
New snow cannons have been installed from the middle station to the bottom of the green run - I didnt count them, but there are quite a few - approx every 75 mtre. Problem is they are also set up to be supplied by the lake Pete mentions
I think you may have to take the hit on that apt and put it down to bad experiance.
The one dangerous thing about buying in totally underdeveolped "new resorts" is that if you buy at the beginning and then try to sell in say 10 years your apt is going to be pretty tatty and why would someone buy that when they can buy a modern designed one & far newer? Better facilities/less dated?
Stevie - not a dig at anyone just what I think. Note I have bought in Bansko, clearl risk there is over development although compared to Pamps its probably at least a decade behind Bansko.
However a work friend has been there Pamps back in the late 80's and it was a blast. Never been myself so will not comment either way apart from my statement above - which is valid for any very new resort.
Thats the risk of forign property purchase. Look no further than the states they have ...

Thats the risk of forign property purchase. Look no further than the states they have effectively no issue with lack of land so they just build new properties on green fields. In the Cities its different however outside of them why buy used when you can buy new with all the warranties?
Good luck hope it all works out for you.
One final point if anyone has bought in the last few years and expects to sell up now you certainly have made the wrong decision and I'd say may not be able to sell for maybe a year or more unless you go massively under market value. Remember the credit crunch is hitting everyone so noone wants to buy - and thats why you get MRI & the like constantly calling you for repeat business and then you state I just want an update on my property please give that to me once you do that I'll talk to you otherwise Im hanging up now - they alays say I'll pass it on annd they will get back to you, well they never do. I have in fact now gone direct to the developer who is great to work with info quickly no b*llsh*t.
