Hey ho. That said: Hotel Ice Angels, nightlife, travel companions, new freinds met whilst there and a couple of days good skiing in fine weather and on fairly decent snow made for a pretty good holiday.
Failing to see the benefit of returning to Bulgaria now though. Get the impression that the people running the show just aren't switched on enough (or have other adgendas).
We have been going to Borovets for the past 3 years with a party of 10. The first year we had adaquated snow in Feb, the second year excellent snow in Feb and this year the snow was poor. The top was OK but icy the lower slopes at some times of the day down right dangerous.
We judge inflation by Georges which is hut (Open garden shed 10 x 10 feet) on the way down. First year a hot chocolate was 3 leves, the next year 4 leves and this year 5 leves (About £2). Probably in keeping with ...

We judge inflation by Georges which is hut (Open garden shed 10 x 10 feet) on the way down. First year a hot chocolate was 3 leves, the next year 4 leves and this year 5 leves (About £2). Probably in keeping with the Alps but no where near the quality. We feel Borovets has had it shot as cheap skiing resort and if it wants to to be part of the Super Borovets then it is is going to have to up it game in quality control and service. Simple things such as pushing in at button bars by the locals and children and the higher cost will drive away many. We have experimented and enjoyed the skiing and now it time to move on.
Sorry Borovets it was good whilst it lasted but you need to up your game.
