The helicopters were actually installing the new Challin Valog four man chair which i must confess is superb especially with new snow. Talking to one of the construction team who worked on the installation he informs me that work will start this summer on the installation of the second gondolar, a major project, and also the securing of avalanche prone areas allowing the reopening of the old red chair at Akademika on red 14 with the possibility of upgrading the chair.
Have heard nothing of the development at the golf and country club unless it refers to the russion owned village on the back of the mountain, lifts exist though elderly and plans have been in place for years. At the end of the day things are movng be it slowly, welcome to BG

Its so controlled now, many mistakes in the past. You will note that all expansion within the national park is on existing old piste (Challin Valog and now Akademika). EU membership has bought the developers under the spotlight, a good thing to a certain extent but controls within a national park are immense, hats off to them for getting what they have. Its a shame the same controls dont apply in the town, the market will dictate that, it will look fantastic when Bansko is finished, i just hope i`m alive to see it
