When we were in Bansko at christmas the helmets were quiet expensive, we bought one in the uk for £25. Not pretty but does the job, in Bansko most were around £80 to £150. Just make sure it is CE and or Kite marked for saftey.
Just found out about Arron. Hope he's ok and a lesson here for all of us. This year I couldn't fit my helmet in my bag so didn't bother. But I will do from now on.
I think I saw the aftermath of Aaron's accident on the Stoykite run just before the steep bit at the end???? Conditions were extremely icy on that day!! I would not let any of us go out without helmets ever!!! The boys just put them on without any questions!! I hope Aaron is OK!!
Pete Last week l met the dog it is very friendly , on the subject of helmets my self and chris used one last week for the frist time ours are nice and warm and of course very Cool. l look like wallace and Chris looks like gromet.but we would not now be with out them.we payed around 35 pound for them .
Never used before until this year. I always thought they would be uncomfortable, and that you needed to be 'advanced' skier to wear one! Found them brilliant!. More comfortable than beanies(no itchy heads when you got warmed up!) Also don't usually like wearing goggles unless absolutely essential, but found the helmet and goggle combination really comfortable! Main reason glad I wore one was - had a fall ( given 9/10 for artistic element by very sympathetic husband!) which I am sure would ...

Got away with a bit of whiplash that a few red wines sorted out!! LISTEN TO PETE!!!
Sonia - If you did see the aftermath of Arron's accident I think he would be most interested as he doesn't remember a thing! He lost about 7 hours of his memory that day!
I know where Sonia means, cos I saw it as well, although only blood, and no-one injured.
It was on the Stoikite piste - forget which one is which, but it was the one with the steep ending. Just at the top of the last steep part, on the right hand side was where I saw the blood. Didnt see anyone bleeding, or getting to the bottom of the piste with an injury, so guessed it had happended some time before.
Hope Arron is OK now. Me and Moey did see the rest of your group ...
Hi Nicky

I only saw the blood as Helen did!! But remember thinking it must have been quite a bad injury! It was about Midday when I saw it! I have to said it made me even more tentative than I already am, I spend all my time worrying about my two boys, as they just dont have any fear at all!! Wish I could be a bit more like them!!
At least we know where he went now as he wasn't even sure he went down the Stoikite run! We have no idea how he got to the top - somebody must have put him on the lift. He is fine now had his plaster taken off yesterday so can wear his shoes and drive now - his ankle is still a bit weak but no permanent damage done!
