At last - I have received a reply to my letter to Balkan Holidays concerning their use of Plovdiv Airport for Pamporovo customers in 2011.

Here is the reply......

Dear Mr Roberts,

Thank you for your email and please accept our apologies if any email from last week has remained unanswered.

In regards to your query about Balkan Holidays using Plovdiv Airport. I can confirm that we are continuously looking into further developments with various issues related to Plovdiv Airport and will make a decision to reintroduce charter flights when all conditions are met.

At this time, I would like to express our gratitude for your continued loyalty to Balkan Holidays.

If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Ah well - at least it was a reply albeit a very sitting on the fence one

You complain when they dont reply, and are not happy when they do.

Complain about various aspects of the holiday with them afterwards, shouting and threatening never to travel with them again.....YET YOU DO.

I also see that Balkan advertise a loyalty bonus, i bet they give that to you every year, but that is not mentioned by.

What did you expect them to do, jump to your demands and put a charter on just for you??

Remember a charter to Plovdiv HAS to serve 2 other resorts, not just Pamporovo.
I am sure Balkan have a valid reason not to fly there, or maybe BH Air. Probably it cost double to transfer people from Sofia than from Plovdiv.

Reading this post Pete, you've posted a reply about your enquiry re Balkan using Plovdiv airport. It seems to me that Dimitar is only asking why you have been complaining about Balkan but still using them. You seem to have been very busy today, posting on here and the summer sites copies of correspondence you have received from a variety of places. Are you going to post the copy of the reply you received to your complaint about the way you were treated by Balkan and their representatives when you left ski boots at Sofia airport?
