re: Ski School Instructors

the lift people are just as bad, i went with 4 friends who 3 are beginners so going up a chair lift was pretty scary for them for the first time, upon reaching the top a couple of them fell over while getting off the lift and instead of stopping the lift and helping them up the two (instructors/ lift attendants what ever they are) just laughted and whistled at them to get out of the way so the next people could exit the lift which i thought was shocking!!

Could'nt agree more theres alot of people writing on this board, who seem to have no concept of being a beginner or health and safety.
I have been skiing in Usa, Canada, Italy , France, Austria and now Bulgaria. I have never seem lifts operated this badley. knowone helping fallin skiers on the button lets keep it running let them pile up!
Had a friend who was a beginner hit in the head last week, needed stitches he went to help a girl who had fallen off, No staff went to help! ...

I read all the blogs before coming, The Holiday companys say great for beginners.
I had an open mind fancied a cheaper Holiday, but this time I got what I paid for and even less !

Anyone reading this from a Holiday Company , take note not a good place for beginners. If your lucky you get a good instructor! But if not you get one who could'nt careless and very sexist to boot!

re: Ski School Instructors

to be fair it was like a cattle market in boro last week on the beginner slopes everyone fighting for what little snow there was. i was told bu one local that the reason the gondola was closed wasn't due to high winds ( there wasn't even a little breeze) but they were waiting for the main slopes to be totally un skiable before they opened it, which when you think you have paid your money you want to ski on any part of the mountain at any time.

right that's my little rant over... anyone ...

I agree with you I was then when the gondola was shut you were right not a ounce of wind at the top.
Outrageous how they operate the lift system after all we have paid to ski the pistes even if they are dated and in poor condition

re: Ski School Instructors

maybe they have only one sign (gondola closed due to high winds) do we need to have a whip round and buy them another (gondola open due to no winds) ?? Very Happy Very Happy
