Just back from Austria and its 2.80 euro a pint, a 3 course meal in resturant 13 euro, a taxi ride was 6 euro for 4 people on a 5 min ride, lift pass covering 5 resorts £145, the food in the resort was fantastic and the locals were friendly. They even have hoods on the chairlifts and heated seats.
Quote "if you want to go to Austria or France and pay £9-£12 A BEER , £240 FOR SKI PASSES. Then off with ya, stop slagging Bulgaria off you pompous snobs" not very accurate is it?
Agree france is ...

Bulgaria is great for beginners and i recommend it all the time, however she is changing very fast and not necessary for the better, look where greed has got us.

Absolutely Crazysnowboarder.
Take the blinkers off some of you.
I love BG and always recommed to people if they are beginners, but shop around other parts of Europe are just as good value for money with more slopes and better facilities for your money.

Crazysnowboarder

If that's the case as you describe then BG resorts really do need to look at what they offer.

Whereabouts did you go?

went to Seefeld 7th march - 14th march snow 2.5m at top 1.5 at bottom, resort one of the smaller ones but booked late and only option, however i had been following the snow forecasts closly so with loads of snow a small resort was not a problem. I took a day out fo 26 Euro and went to Garmish in Germany, inc on lift pass, this is where they do the world cup downhills and it was awesome. Seefeld is just one of dozens of resorts some low in altitude like Seefeld others with Glaciers and Guarenteed snow. Austria is more expensive to book but it is driveable from the midlands in 16hrs or by coach is cheapish so feel free to compare the brouchers and check trip advisor.

Sorry to take exception to the post by "whinging englishman" I am a "Paddy" and I have managed to learn 5 languages.
Why don't you just sit down with a nice cup of tea as that is about all you could handle and try not to get yourself excited.

We cannot support two such great armies and i propose you all get drunk , go to a deserted beach in Albania and solve it once for all...Those who shall survive is welcome to come back Booze
