Of course, once that motorway opens to Greece then day trips to the beach are also an option I guess? How long does it take to get to the beaches at the moment? is it more than a couple of hours? ...

I was feeling blue now the skiing season is drawing to a close but now (sorry Pete) I Can't Wait to get out there in May. Looking forward to seeing the area when we visit the orphanage. I would love to see a brown bear.
Just fished out the details for Horse Riding: The guides name is Steffen, lovely fella and very professional. He has a ranch 2 KM down the lane past the Forest Nook villas. They have many horses, run days and nights out on horse back as well as quick 1.5 - 2hr tours. Steffen's email address is [email protected]; telephone number is Bulgaria 0885 621 205.

If you need a meal on way from Assenovgrad to Chepelare, stop at St. Elena's, on main road by Police Box, by the villages of Pavelsko & Hvoina (ours) . Lovely couple, Sofia speaks English. english menu and Bg. prices. They often get parties from Pamporovo for an evening meal.
