Which Resort?

Hi all, looking for some opinions on the best resort for beginner snowboarding (Bansko/Borovets/Pamps) toward the end of March. We are a 40 year old couple with no previous Skiing or Boarding experience. We like a reasonable buzz in the evening but not fussed about discos!

re: Which Resort?

I would say Pamporovo - but I am biased as I have property there. I've also not skied the others but Pamps is great for beginners, the ski school is excellent and the nightlife is just right for me (and I'm a 40ish year old)

re: Which Resort?

Thanks for the quick replies - that's 2:1 vets so far! vets is also a shorter transfer from Sofia and i can get a flight from Bristol but i'm not sure that should be my main criteria!! Nobody saying Bansko yet and its the biggest resort isn't it? Biggest is not always best Wink

re: Which Resort?

I would have said Bansko if you were skiers, but as you're going to be snowboarding, definitely go somewhere else! Wink Wink

re: Which Resort?

Having been to all three resorts I would firmly say that Pamporovo is the best for beginners. Lots of easy slopes and you can ski from the very top of the mountain to the bottom on easy runs.

re: Which Resort?

Hi Nick

Ive been to all 3 resorts and love them all but Borovets edges it for me with shorter transfer times and a more compact feel to the resort with good night life. One thing for sure your going to have a great time wherever you end up choosing. Very Happy

re: Which Resort?

Ive been to Boro 5/6 times and not had a bad time but Pamps will be my choice 2013 as i am taking my youngest daughter and PP rates it so highly ive got to see if he is right Wink
