re: Wiped out by another Skier / Snowboarder Stories
I took out a whole lift queue of Germans on the first run of the day - one icy morning in Austria. It was awful at the time - I was a bit hung over - totally out of controll, just going to fast and couldn't stop. I slid sideways, sent them all up in the air. It was an 'exchange of passport details'and insurance job and I admit I felt terrible as people were hurt. My husband and friends were suddenly 'nowhere to be seen ' disappering onto the lift that the queue had just 'disappeared from.' ...

Huge ski area - normally you struggle to find your friends again once separated - but for the rest of the holiday i met those damn Germans again and again and again.
I did get awarded a trophy though entitled 'The one who got lucky' - originally designed for one of the party who copped off with a member of the opposite sex, it was given to me as it was decided that, had I been a bloke, I would have got a severe paggaring.
I discovered shortly after the holiday that I was pregnant and blamed the influence of my unborn child for my lack of judgement and stupidity. I take no responsibility whatsoever!!!

Last year in Pamps, coming off the top of the three man chairlift, I was wiped out by a female skier on the little steep bit about 100 mtrs from the lift. I picked myself up, put my skis back on and skied all the way back to the Skishack, before I decided I had possibly done a tad more than suffered a bruise.
Doc at Studenetz clinic diagnosed a dislocated shoulder and popped it back in for me. Back home in the UK, discovered the socket of my shoulder was shattered and I needed surgery ...
