Had the best laugh at brilliant prices in the Alpina, where Aimee and Arie where most welcoming hosts. We nicknamed Arie Jamie Oliver and Aimee was a fantastic singer! Entertainment from the Cardiff Stag Party - Glenn the groom was totally mental!

re: alpina bar

we used it this week too, ideal for a drinkie to recover from the slopes. Happy hour from 5pm, drinks v cheap, took all our new friends and had a good time in there, never ate there though. It IS oppoosite the Flors just look for the signs on the window giving the drinks prices!

We ate in there once at lunchtime. Totally disorganised. Meals took ages to come and all arrived at different times. There were 5 of us 3 ordered omlettes, we were told the chef only had one omlette pan which was why they arrived separately. Childs meal arrived after everyone else was finished. Food was good but need to get their act together re service.

re: alpina bar

Forgot to say the Alpina hotel (past the Rila on the right) is excellent. Food & service first class. 8 of us ate there and all the meals arrived together and were very good. 100% better than the Alpin bar. I'd rather pay a bit more and have good service.

re: alpina bar

Most of the places we had lunch and dinner dished up separately even a 'posh' restaurant in Samokov BUT when it arrives it is freshly cooked, if you want to be served together go to Mac Donalds or a restaurant used to all year trade in England or a big resort not to a Bulgaria ski resort!

re: alpina bar

I don't agree Glynis we ate out most lunchtimes and had no problems anwhere else. The food in the Alpina was good but the service was diabolical. I think for the childs meal to arrive 10 minutes after everyone else is finished is a bit much. I can recommend Alpina Hotel & Katies steakhouse both were great.

Hi Glenn

Can't believe its over 3 weeks now since we returned home and still miss the place loads as even though its a tiring holiday always have a great laugh! When I said it was mental - that is another word I use for Crazy, Mad, etc. Do I take it then that it was you who was the Stag? Got some brilliant photos of you in your gear if it was, so will pass them on if you let us have your email! Hope you are now fully recovered and have you anymore stag weekends lined up? Say hello to ...
