if the kids are over twelve as well you pay adult price, so can soon add up, although personally I would consider a chalet in france if it was costing that much no mater what it includes. we have been lucky and got a good deal on hotel and flights when we have gone there, the last time even eating out every night, drinking ect and buying ski boots it still only cost us around £1,000 for two of us.

i arrange hols for groups off 10 often
good accomadation including breakfast £150 sterling per head per week
evening meal extra £70 sterling per week
ski passes and ski hire 170 per week
tranfers £20 per head
good pack lunch £30 sterling per head

300 sterling for adults flights are usually about 100 sterling and i thought that was expensive
