re: balkan holidays aircraft

Hi guys

Been reading the posts off and on but so busy at work to reply to many and also on summer board mostly.
Anyway we first flew with Balkan in mid-80's on a tupolev. How times have changed. We had to choose smoking or non smoking which was right or left of the aircraft. My hubby spent most of the flight in the cockpit with the crew (he is a bit of a plane anorak!!). Apparnetly when they landed they had a rather large bag of empty bottles (alcoholic) to dispose off. Glad he told me ...

I flew on a tupolev 2 years ago... First one was LZ-HMH a sublet from Hemus air... The seats were broke, the dinner trays didnt stay up, water was dripping on our heads, the carpet was thread bare, my friends seat broke, and my bezzie sat next to me had a strange rash which tracked up his leg during the flight, then mysteriously disappeared after landing.

On the way home we flew on LZ HMQ. Another fantastic TU154, but this was one on BH Airs. Another fantastic experience. Eventless tho.

On the whole, I have developed a love for this unique planes, and i would love to fly on one again. I will certainly miss them if they cannot venture in to our skies anymore.
