Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Each to their own Jojo. All I would say is everyone has a choice. I have had many trips to various places in the Alps, North America and can honestly say that Bansko is a great resort. Not as big as many, but then hasnt being around as long. The skiing is great and I appreciate you can ski the mountain in less than a day, for some that is boring. For me and also the feedback I get from friends I take out there is to ski the same slopes allows you to find the good jumps, off piste runs etc... another big plus is the skiing is still good with the snow cannon coverage. I was in Bansko a couple of years ago when the snow hadnt arrived until mid jan. I still managed to ski all week on most of the runs!!! a big plus, I am sure you would agree.....the food is great, the atmosphere in the restaurants is fantastic if you want to experience the Bulgarian culture in the Mehanas or there are the more modern restaurants if thats what you prefer. the locals are so friendly if you get to know them and the cost whilst here makes a ski holiday affordable to many that maybe wouldnt have being able to afford one to a more establihed resort in the alps!. Your probably best trying somewhere else , however i am sure it wont be long until your return. especially if the snow is as good as it is right now. Roll on 16th Jan!!!!!!
