Its because its 3 times more expensive than in the towns. People want everything for nothing and have to remember their season is VERY short.
To compare a hot chocolate and rum is about what £1.50 there ..... in France you pay something like £12.00 at the moment!!!! Just because it isnt 50p then why do people complain I agree!
I was in the Alps last year and did not find anywhere that was selling hot chocolate and rum or anything else for that matter for £12 but then again I guess I wasnt looking that hard.
Note to self. If anybody tries to charge you £12 for a soft drink run.... run like the wind
Its more this year. I was on the slopes in Val D'sere ..... at the time 3 hot chocolates alone were £12. A friend of mine went to France last year and paid even more! Since then the pound has plumbeted so I hate to think what its like now. Food I would spend maybe £40 a day on.
Mind you if you class Rum as a soft drink then I would dread going on a session with you
My point is I would spend more in a couple of days in France than a week in Bulgaria and do alot more.
I know, by midweek i've normally had so much I'm not good for much else other than more
I agree 100% Bulgaria is still a much cheaper holiday in every respect

If you want to ski big areas on fantastic pistes go to France, ...

Bulgaria has a place in the market. It should never be compared with France as its main marketing advantage was low prices and consequentially good, affordable nightlife.
I think we all need to consider why we visit Bulgaria for our skiing holidays. I know that when I am telling people of the stories and exploits I have experianced in Borovets, it is never cheap food and drinks that I talk of. It is always the warm hearted locals and the fun of being in a ski resort that is welcoming and still honest about what it is. I travel again on the 24th Jan and hope with all my heart that I do not meet or bump into any of the people who make the effort to in my ...
