Hi Styllux - I have purchased in Bansko and there are a lot of negative vibes at the moment. However i have grand hopes for the future of the place, once all the hype as settled down and people get on with it... Very Happy

I stayed in the Lucky Bansko just before Xmas and can tell you that it's well worthy of the investment. It's in a cracking spot albeit away from the Gondola, but there a shuttles regular. The plus side to the location is that it's next to the old town, casino, and bowling alley ...

I suppose that with the market as it is now, it is a long term investment, not just a quick buck i'm looking at.

I have a few friends and family that enjoy skiing, so It won't exactly be an investment for renting out to people I don't know.

You say that there is plenty to do, My wife and I are looking to start a family sometime in the next couple of years, how is the facilities (for skiing and surround area) for the younger children?

As I said previously, I haven't even thought of purchasing a property abroad before, when you went through your purchase, was it smooth? included a lot of travelling back and forth? hidden fee's etc.?
