Balkan Holidays Strike again!

Booked March 04-18 for 2 weeks for myself and my wife.Holiday all paid for and received a call from our Travel Agent to advise Balkan have cancelled our flight home on the 18th.
The reason is and wait for it"Balkan are closing down services from 11.03.12 as the snow condition have been poor this season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So anyone booked after 11.03.12 and flying from Newcastle you will be getting a letter!

The flight back to the UK on 11/03/12 is fine but not sure if going out to Sofia on that date

Unbelievable!....Some of the best skiing can be had mid to late March, even into early April!

I have had our guests holidays cancelled from Balkan .....Wiat for it.........
11th March - 18th March from newcastle. There flight from UK on the 11th was cancelled also so check that out Alan??

Err... The snow that has fallen now is the best I've seen in BG sincei started skiing in 2007... It will take some heat to get rid of it so they obviously aren't telling the real reason!

We have booked with Balkan and guess what........Our flight out of Manchester on the 11th March for 1 week has been cancelled, due to lack of bookings for that flight.
Now having to go day earlier on the 10th out of East Midlands!
But hey we got £20 compensation each. Only thing, we wouldn't have to pay for airport parking at Manchester as family live nearby. So I suppose the £40 will cover cost of airport parking at East Midlands.
So much for compensation!!!

I was thinking of a late booking (11th March) with Balken too- thats that finished then!

IanI'd still give it ago. We're going out for a week on the 10th March.
They are still taking bookings but obviously trying to consolidate the flights. Infact in the past they still take bookings in to April!

Starting to think not just balkan unable to get 10th or 11th March from Manchester via Inghams or Crystal unless flights full
