No real excuses, just bumbled down it...
4.30 minutes, now that would take some acheiving, maybe hanging off the back of a skidoo
(i`ve also got to learn to stop talking to myself, muppet !)
80% that what i tought when i read about the 4.30min down. at one point you went up to about 37-40km/h. going to bansko in 2 weeks and i will write back what is the quickest time possible. I will take one for the forum.
One of the ski instructors was killed on the ski road the season before last - came off at speed and hit a tree.
I think 65kms is the PR count of the length of the ski runs. Adding in the ski road (from where it starts over on run 12), tracks and the closed run marked on the map to the east which hasn't been open since Jesus last came skiing.
Give it a go Joe, try first thing in the morning especially if its icy. Freshly waxed and edged GS skis, skate for your life in the flattish sections and as aerodynamic as you can on the slopes...
I think 8.30min would be a good time for 7km, that would be averaging approx 30mph
I will get a horn def.! My skis are freshly waxed and waiting. I think I can do it under 7.30min. Will try to gain speed from higher ground and will start the clock once on the road. I'VE got my orange outfit (head to toes(hat to boots),only skis are orange-green) and i think that will give me the boost!
