I have heard Bansko is not the best for nightlife however I will be visiting over new years with a group of about 10 in our low 20's. Can anyone throw us a few bar/club names and or ones to avoid???
Bansko is good for nightlife, bars stay open as long as there are customers and there are plenty to choose from, Amigos is the old fave from last year - they seem to have moved premises this year and we haven't checked out the new joint yet but we've found it. Just join the pub crawl on the first or second night if you are going with a tour operator and you'll find a few good ones!
There were no brits at all on ours last night. Plenty of Scots and Irish, and we are aussie. Mind you, we didn't exactly do it with the package tour either... although they were in the same places!
erm last time i checked wasnt scotland part of britian?
ireland is part of the UK too so really your saying the other nationalities were aussie? Ex brits!
Ok, aussie, and Kiwi, and some Danish girls, loads of Irish - as in from IRELAND, and heaps others besides if you want to be picky!
By the way Bansko is great at the moment, snowed up there today, just light but big flaky stuff for a good part of the day, and a few flakes drifting past the window down here in town as I write. The slopes are lovely, and the ski road is beautiful, the Bob Chorba at lunch time is yummy as always. Life is good!
My time for the ski road challenge: 1 hour ...
