Due to arrive in Borovets March 22nd for Easter...our first ski trip...but after hearin all the no snow reports....seriously thinkin of cancelling as don't wana spend all the cash to go there and sit in pubs, when I would do that easily at home...any advice folks?!
Go and have a good holiday.
When people are talking about no snow, they mean at the bottom of the mountain at village level.
You have got a 15 min gondola ride to the top of the mountain where, as of last week, the snow off piste came up to my knees when I stood up after having come off my skis!
(and no I'm not a midget!)
Borovets has a history of substantial snow fall mid to late March. We were there last March and it snowed as we arrived. Had one day of skiing through blizzards and then had sun the rest of the week. Lower slopes do get slushy by end of the day, so people usually start a little earlier or go to the top. My little one skiied on lower slopes all week.
They skied well into April the last 3 years.
If you look on the archived web cam link, it will show you for the last few years ...

There's no guarantee but we usually go end of March and all standards have a great time.
Hi, yes there are some beginners slopes at the top, if the snow is poor on the lower slopes your instructer will take you up in the gondola, its fab you will love it
