Hi,
Just a general reply to some of the historic messages re crystal. Myself and a colleague have each bought a 1 bed appt and were out these around 6 weeks ago. The appts look fantastic....! Yes there have been delays but haven't there been everywhere where construction is concerned? The staff and the facilities at the complex were superb. We had a few minor snags with both of them, but to be honest, they couldn't be helpful enough in resolving these. We met the technical director of regnum.bg and received some assurances re a few things. The access road will be completed both sides upto the appts by the end of October(this was confirmed to me only last week following a meeting wth the principalitythat he attended). They are fully committed to resolving any issues around the complex. They are in negotiations with several tour operators regrding long and short term rentals for the complex, etc, etc.(I am sure they tell everyone that, but time will tell)
In short, I am still comfortable that buying at Crystal was a good decision. It has facilities that lots of appt complexes dont have and having visited it and met the management team, I am looking forward to many visits in both summer and winter.

re: Crystal Apartments Bansko

Have been trawling the net for a Crystal Forum and came across this one. I too have bought a one bed appt. at Crystal and have had several sleepless nights regarding Regnums ability to manage it. Your final comments have certainly lay a few fears to rest. Thanks.
I have not rented it yet as Regnum have now informed me I need a further 500Euros worth of furniture to deem it fit for rent! Even though it had a 2000Euro furniture pack installed. Is anyone renting their appt? Regnum quote 30% ...

Is anyone renting their appt? Regnum quote 30% (+10% tax) for managing the rental, don't know if that's good or bad. nice to hear from people in similar situations. Any info or tips VERY gratefully received.

re: Crystal Apartments Bansko

Steve,
Both myself and my colleague have had the "extras" installed. The reason for this is that upon speaking with the bulgarian tourist board, they have advised Regnum that these extras are essential if they are to receive their support in promoting the complex and to comply with their conditions.( shaver socket, table + chairs on balcony, fans etc). As Regnum were originally going to run it as purely appts and not be classified as an "apart hotel" this would have not been neccesary ...

As Regnum were originally going to run it as purely appts and not be classified as an "apart hotel" this would have not been neccesary before. Thats the line we were told but as i see it we really had no choice. Without those extras, you could't go onto their rental programme. Anyway, I am aware of certain rental agencies in bansko that would manage your property for you but to be hinest I have heard lots of poor reports on some of them. With regnum managing our asset and their own, i take the view that they will try harder than anyone else to get the complex to be a success. After all, only 40 or so of the 190 appts have ben sold and they are a commercial organisation and need to make margin on their assett.
Time wil Tell.........................................!
My colleague is visiting Crystal on 20th sept, let me know if you have further queries
regards
Blair

Blair
Thanks for that information. Apologies for the delay in replying (hectic work schedules!). I am in the process of sending the maintenance and rental contracts back. I understand from the earlier posts that there is some contact via emails. My email is [email protected], I would greatly appreciate being added to the group mail if possible.

Thanks

Steve

re: Crystal Apartments Bansko

Hi All

I've been to Crystal a couple of times and love it! There have been a lot of issues along the way and there are no dooubt more to come but I'm very positive about the future!

I have also gone for the 3 months rental offer and will have to pay the extra E500. I have started to look at other Rental/Property management companies and am going too stick with Regnum and besides I don't think I will get much rental any oter way!
