I don't really see how anyone is to blame, weather is unpredictable where ever you are in the world. Obviously there are times when you will get better snow and these times generally tend to be at a premium. As Sally said you would not book a holiday to somewhere like Greece in may or October if you wanted guaranteed sunshine! We had our first holiday to borovets last year and the conditions where ok, but the bulgarian people made the holiday for us, that's why we are returning on Saturday!
Des, do you not research ski holidays?? It's not like packing your shorts and rocking up on a beach somewhere, that might be a bit quieter/busier/hillier/far from the airport than you thought - my point being that it's not the end of the world on a sun holiday if a resort doesn't suit you 100%.
Not researching a ski holiday is madness - what if you picked a resort aimed more at advanced skiers and you're a complete novice? Same goes for snow record, if you are one of the unfortunate ...
