nothing just your advise will be a little bit distorted dont you think.
you wouldnt feel proud owning something in a place with alot of problems and bad points (from the majority opinions at the moment)and will try to cover them or just to keep quite.Simple.
Ops so and Nicky has a flat and stuck with it.Maybe more will come out of the woods
I always speak the truth on here - I am not interested in covering anything up. We don't rent our apartment out so not bothered about rentals. We bought it for us to enjoy, and enjoy it we do!
mike y. You're right. I own in Pamps and am not happy with some parts of the town at the moment. But, and am sure Arron is the same, I'm not gonna give wrong advice out to people just because of that. We have a property because we love the place, inspite of the probs. I personally think that to air the problems is the best thing we can do for the long term development of the town. So bring on the criticisms... the sooner they are sorted the better.
knowing the bad points recognising them shouting about them and hoping somebody will take notice is the only way in this land .maybe in doing so in few years thinks will change for the better.covering it up wont do anything
I dont think there is anywhere in the world that everybody would like. Everybody has their own opinion and quite right too but think slagging off somewhere just because its cost you more than you thought is just silly. I know Bulgaria has its problems but seems most people equate having a great time with spending hardly anything on loads and loads of drinks. Lets have a decent review showing good and bad points.i,m sure some of the moaners would do better staying in england on the dry slopes ...

My husband has been skiing for years and admits he prefers Austria but also admits it costs twice as much(prices have gone up everywhere not just Bulgaria). He had great fun on the black runs in pamporovo and i enjoyed learning on the greens.Never been before and there was plenty of snow to learn on.If we had listened to some on these boards we would never have gone. PS we dont own property in Bulgaria either. As i said before my son and his girlfriend have just had the best holiday ever in Borovets so would just ask that those that criticise Bulgaria must also have something good to say about the place
Karen, I don't think people are slagging off Bulgaria because it costs more than they thought it would or because the price of a pint is too high. I think most people are happy to pay when the quality and service provided are good.
When I go abroad I see myself as an ambassodor for my country, I'm alway polite and try to learn a couple of phrase to break the ice, it is nice if this is recipricated by your hosts.
However, I just felt that the majority (not all) of the locals that I came ...

However, I just felt that the majority (not all) of the locals that I came into contact with see the tourists rich pickings and there to be ripped off.
When the product is good and it provides value for money you hear very few complaints (but some people will always complain). I think the point most people are trying to get across is that a quality service is not being provided at the moment.
I don't think there is any witch hunt out against Bulgaria, people are just giving their views on their holidays.
Will be interesting to see how many go elsewhere but return when they realise Bulgaria not as bad as they thought. At the end of the day you get what you pay for in some respects but no amount of cash will stop people being rude or ripping you off.We are off to Austria next year so i,m looking forward to somewhere new and maybe it will make me think Bulgaria is not as good but can still see myself returning at some point.
