Hotel Iceberg Borovets- Where is it?

Looking to book Borovets for 28th Feb and keep coming across the Hotel Iceberg-all the description says its it 'occupies a pleasant slopeside location'. Has anyone been to this hotel, or can anyone tell me how close it is to the slopes?

First time to Borovets and want to stay in a good location :-)

Lisa - can't remember this hotel being mentioned on here before, apart from it's meant to be near the gondola. I'm sure it's not near the main Boro centre so wait before booking until you know it's exact location. There have been new developments built further up the mountain, where access is usually by taxi so may not be the best location for you.

I have looked at a property company's map and looks like it is behind the Rila and Samokov.

I'd wait until someone - maybe Fraser or Fiona - give you exact location. It's a new one to me but does look nice.

Thank you! Getting a better idea of where it is now although it doesn't mean much since we've never been there, lol!

Desperate to book, so excited and this hotel looks lovely but just don't want to be in the middle of nowhere! Think I will wait and see if anyone can give anymore info on it..

Any other hotels caught your eye? Once you have booked, there's plenty of info on here about how to get the best from your holiday - just ask.

I've been trying to find some reviews elsewhere for you but nothing yet.

Well we were going to stay in the Rila or Samokov originally since they seem like the most popular choices, but now the Iceberg has come up and it is a great price and looks nice..so I don't know, lol.

I have been looking around this site, it's a great source of info, prepare to be bombarded with questions before we go..

Have you found the web cams yet? They're very addictive

Although foggy on lower slopes, they are still skiing in all the fresh snow.

I usually stay in Rila, mainly for location, it's my lads favourite.

Found this site. Hotel was due to be finished Autumn 2008 - knowing BG completion dates, I'd check it is finished and all areas eg swimming pool are up and running

50 metres from lower gondola station and seems to be more behind the Samokov and Ela.
