HI all and a special hello to Pete, i trust you all had a wonderful Christmas and you are looking forward to the new year, I am in Stoikite and it is snowing, it is very fine powder snow but it does like the snow will continue. The tourist and information centre is set to open on 2nd January and will be offering lift passes and ski hire etc. We have more snow in Stoikite than in Pamps, i will try and up-date on the snow often in hope that it helps. Mironeski is offering lots more than skiing ...

Mironeski is offering lots more than skiing he is due to offer tours, he can be found at studenets. Food and drinks prices have risen this year in Pamps, i suggest Hotel Chrystal near smolyan, i believe that you can phone and they will collect you free of charge from Pamps and return you, food great, reasonable prices (cheap in comparison to Pamps or why not hire a car in smolyan 30 lev per day, or call a cab from Smolyan to take you to Venus restaurant or one of the many in Smolyan most restaurants are half the price of pamps

ahh great i have heard its been snowing in pamps today!ive got a link here showing the forecast for pamps and its forecasting alot of snow over 1st jan to the 10th!

Well looking out of my window i can see that the ski is full of snow, i would say that we are in for a big dump of snow, the ski lift in Stoikite is amazing, six man lift with helmit, it is the 2nd best in Europe and i am sure that it will be very popular.re: Pamps snow report

The six man lift is open and running, i live just two minutes away and can see it in action, unfortunatly i am restricted by an accident and have not skied he runs but my children have and in their words " Mum those runs are the best, wicked"

Went on the six man yesterday from the top down to Stoikite had a coffee at then went back up - Yes just for the ride!!!
Runs not open just yet but snow building nicely - from the chair they look wide and open with plenty of cruising turns and banks along the way - there even looks to be a natural snow park at the bottom where the hills start to roll in Stoikite. Some debris about to be honest - it would not be Bulgaria otherwise! but i look forward to seeking powder down them ...

pamporovo sounds brilliant the way you describe it. Because of your impartial reporting I might book to go there, it makes bansko and borovets sound rubbish, despite the fact they have snow. Which accident is this one that you have had? Is very fine powder snow similar to rain? That lift I hear is the second best in europe, where is the first? and where is the third?
Tell me amanda law is there anyway I can invest some money in you and your husband, I hear he is bankrupt? ...

I am coming over to Pamporovo on 4th Jan. What is snow like today and can someone tell me the best place to buy lift passes. Staying at Finlandia. Thanks

usually the tour operators are much cheaper, buying your lift pass in resort is more expensivex
