re: RIP OFF

There is one thing that people have to bear in mind,

Firstly, the prices over there havent doubled, they have only risen by about 20%

The thing which is worse is the exchange rate.

last year it was £1 - 3.45 lev
this year its only £1 - 2.55 lev

And thats only cos the lev has grown stronger since it has started to become part of the EU

To be honest, it still is a cheap(ish) ski holiday...

Where else can you get all the stuff you need for a decent holiday

Dont look at ...

Dont look at france, even Itally and Switzerland are a push to go cheap...

Andorra is still quite low, but the season is also very short.

Canada, you really need to go for atleast 10 days, cos four of those days you will be travelling.

Same story with newzealand/china/japan.

SO people should slow down on the complaints front.
Also, you have to bargain with people out there, they know that the prices are a tad to high for the quality of service, and they will be prepared to lower it if you argue your case.

You also need to look in the right places for certain stuff.

Keep your eyes open to whats around you, not just at whats infront

We keep going on about the prices, I agree they need to watch what they charge as they dont have the same ski area ect as the alps.

But how many of you have looked at your shopping bills, petrol costs and fuel bills lately. We dont notice prices going up here so much because it happens slowly over months, a loaf of bread where I shop was 81p around 6 months ago its now 99p. when you go on holiday once a year somewhere you remember last years prices and see the increase a lot more. ...

Consider the rise in all the other things and its possibly not that bad.

re: RIP OFF

The screen washer bottle of my car emptied today whilst driving to Stafford. As it's illegal to drive with an empty washer bottle I pulled into Frankley Services to top up.
Only facility available was to use the top up tap at 50p a time. Needless to say I broke the law for the rest of my journey. Outrageous!

Jesus!

This will be sore point and might offend a few folks, but bloody hell, that lizzie and her lot sound like a right liability! I suggest you stay at home in future.

re: RIP OFF

I did go to Canada at Christmas this year (Whistler). Booked the cheapest hotel available and it was still luxury compared to Boro hotels. Whole holiday was only a couple of hunderd more than my week in Boro but a thousand times better in every respect (especially the skiing).
