re: SKI or Board

it really depends on the person. if you dont mind falling over and having to get up again and again and take to physical sports well then you'll be o.k going straight into boarding. if not skiing will be eaisier to pick up and you'll probably be having more fun by the end of the week. dont try to learn both as getting better at one will have you enjoying yourself more by the end of the week. either way, some people prefer skiing and some boarding. its a preference thing. but.......... ...

re: SKI or Board

It totaly depends on how fast you want to progress. I would say skiing is alot easier, but snowboarding is cool. In my own experience snowboarding was harder to get to grips with so was limited to the slopes i could go on. Skiing was easier and buy the end of my first week i was begining to go down reds.

re: SKI or Board

i would deff recomed skiing first and doing a boarding taister setion as skiing is alot easyer. so you pick it up faster meaning you have more of an enjoyable holiday. boarding is ok. but it takes so long to pick up the basics and you dont feal liek your getting anywair fast for the first few days.
also with skiing you get a weeks worth of tuition and with snwoboarding you get 3 mornings.

i would ski!!!

(also u put SKI in caps so u oviusly perfur it)

re: SKI or Board

ski why spend more time on your arse than you need plus I have known people who board for first time and dont do that well where as with skiing you soon learn it.
look at the leason times I know skiing is 4 hours 2 in morning 2 in afternoon, boarding I think is just 2 hours a day problem is if you dont pick it up that quick you have a whole afternoon everyday to fill.

SKI SKI SKI SKI SKI
Only board if you want to spend all day on your rear end getting in everybody elses way.
Sorry guys, but why do boarders spend so much time sitting down, and why is it always in the middle of the piste!
A good comparison is:
Skiing is like riding a bike - once you know, you know.
Boarding is like surfing - unpredictable unless you're good

re: SKI or Board

yea its true skiing is alot easier and you spend more time on your arse for the 1st few days when boarding but its sooo rewarding when you finaly stay on your feet and slow your self down while keeping balance and then you start carving out your turns its alot better of a feelin then doing you 1st snow plow lol

re: SKI or Board

thanks for this was wondering if we had chosen the wrong package, have chosen learn to board package instead of ski package , was stating to get dishartened as everyone seems to say ski first,

the trouble is we have had 2 ski lessons but my boyf has trouble keeping two legs on the snow so thought one board with 2 legs stuck to it may be easier for him , we have had to lessons at boarding and it seems to be easierr for him, not sure bout me Smile
