Maybe board is cooler, but guys,....we are talking about 7 days holiday. You talk about off piste and stuff. No chance you can be that good after 7 days. I worked as an ski instructor in norway, and if you have never boarding/skiing before, we always reccomend ski in the beginning. If you live near a ski resort, then its different, cause then you can ski all winter, and you have 3-4 months to get better. First you must get used to the snow and learn the basic, then yo can move on and start ...

And as the pro says.....skiing is a hobby, boarding is a lifestyle.

I chose boarding simply because I didn't like the idea of my legs involuntarily going in different directions.
After a 3 hour intense boarding lesson I was ready to practice what I'd learnt. Snowboarders enjoy more of a challenge and it is never boaring because you learn to progress everytime. And remember theirs always your ass as an emergency brake. Why do you have to do what your mates want or what anyone else suggests?.... go with your gut feeling and social behaviour.

I'd rather be laughing and drinking to the fact I managed to achieve this today and only fell on my ass 10 times than did you see how good i was posing in the middle of the slope and how my skis match my outfit! Sorry skiers but you know its true for a large percentage. Most of all have a great time and enjoy especially the night life
