I just cannot see the attraction of boarding on piste.. off-piste perhaps as it seems more akin to the `big white wave'
Boarders are unsteady and seem to be always just at the point of wiping out... Straight line speed seems a problem as well, again the slightest bump or rut can knock them off, and moguls ??? forget it...
I do have to admire the way they stick to their task, through any number of falls, especially after attempting to get some `air', thats another thing, jumps ?? im sorry, ...

If people spent the time to actually learn to ski, and continued to learn, experiencing all conditions including off-piste, then their enjoyment would be a good as mine, 30+ years and still learning, and still getting excited
As stated by Chris, perhaps we are old farts in one piece suits ?? but we let our skiing do the talking, not what we are wearing
If you want a challenge, learn to snowboard. If you give up easily, learn to ski. Have done both and find snowboarding much more challenging and rewarding.
skiing is for old ppl like steve-c ....steve you have been told on here and talk bansko that snowboarders will rule the slopes so grow older gracefully and let it go hahahahah cu in feb and march mwah x x x x

my first snow trip was to Zermatt where i learned to ski, but after watching the boarders there and with a skateboarding backround i just had to give it a go on my second trip and the rest is history........
LONG LIVE BAGGY TROUSERS AND STUDDED BELTS!!!
I had two massive brusies on my leg from my last trip both caused by boarders taking me out!!! nearly got into a fight with a boarder in a que, sorry but they should not be allowed on the slopes.
neither should skiers who stand in the middle of the slopes chatting on their phone, if a call is that important why are you on the slopes
