re: flights

You should get it back from Abta or your ins co or from BA however it may be some time (months possibly) before you get the cash back.

Its a shame they have ruined so many tourists plans and frankly the solution they offer just doesnt cut it - they want the same terms i.e. double the rate of the other carriers and maintain the pension as is... well it just doesnt work BA lost £140million last year and yet the staff want to continue as is... no sorry thats not how things work its not ...

Muppets is to tame a word Marky. Talk about only thinking of the now. Do these idiots not relise that if BA do not cut cost's then none of them will have jobs? Mad The customer will vote and go elsewhere and when all these idiots at BA have no job and join the near 3million unemployed perhaps they will look back and say hmm maybe we should not have gone on strike every year. Neutral

re: flights

We booked back in March for the 3 of us and got a bargain at £440 including 3 bags and 3 sets of skis. Looking at other carriers (the ones that even have available flights left!!) and im looking at a jump up to £1200!!! Just hoping these selfish greedy b*******ds realize what a cushy number they've had all these years and that BA cannot survive with the present gravy train. Just left with hoping they cancel strike action otherwise no skiing for us over Xmas. Will have to wait later when we ...

re: flights

Guys that sucks for you, It may be worth checking your travel insurance and see if it may be covered?

This can only be a bad thing for BA, people will surely vote with their feet and the low cost airlines will be laughing it up.

re: flights

As for calling them 'muppets' and 'greedy' I think that is a bit harsh! Whilst I dont see that striking will help their cause, what you need to understand is that the cabin crew are always the 'underdogs' so to speak. They are always the first line of attack should job cuts or wage cuts/caps be needed, yet are the lowest paid within an airline. However I understand you being extremely annoyed as I would be myself. Hope it does get sorted for you though.

re: flights

They are not fools!, they go on strike over christmas and new year, spend time with their families, get Union strike pay and laugh at the poor people who now may not get to see their families, or as in many of your cases lose out on a well earned holiday. Still I hope they all know where the job centre is, you dont need a plane to get there!!. Or could it just be another form of unionised blackmail!!
