Thank you Mat for your advice, so i can ignore the `talk' as can others then ??
It was a lovely dream while it lasted...
What about Dobriniste ?? was i dreaming that also ??
Actually, I have to correct my rather 'well lubricated' thoughts of the other evening - and apologies for my somewhat direct tone at that time - one of my friends who works with Balkanstroy says that they have resubmitted the Kulinoto application to prime minister Stanishev (presumably with a large bundle of cash) to try and get him to sign it off before the elections and he feels positive that Stanishev will do so.

This is a reasonably common practice at both municipal and national elections - the outgoing lot take bribes to sign off on any manner of permits in an orgy of corruption before they leave office. The new lot then have to decide whether to undo everything or leave it as it is - with a little 'encouragement' they usually do the latter. This is particularly common on the Black Sea coast.

The business case for the development of new ski pistes is entirely dependent on the sale of associated infrastructure - which would seem a dead duck in the current environment.

I totally agree with your views on the economic case, it would be financial suicide to build at the moment, and that would reflect on any resort expansion...
Anyway, at least the original poster is a little more aware now, surely the main reason for a forum ??
