There are no rules as to when people should or should not post - I would imagine Steve C is probably working now doing his job of transfering holidaymakers to and from the resort.

What you refer to as a report was barely that, poor snow and food was slop? Expand maybe, then perhaps the information you impart will be of use. Pointless commenting on the snow conditions, so perhaps you could enlighten all on your eating experiences?

snow conditions impact on skiing . so i think this is relavant. a ski holiday is 50/50 sking and socialising. yes its cheap to drink and eat . but i go (and this is my opinion) to ski

What i meant was its pointless to comment on the poor snow conditions, because they are just that, the worst for a mid jan i have seen in 7 seasons, but to expand on where you felt the food was slop. Perhaps then others visiting could avoid, though i have a fair idea where you may mean.

I have to agree with jason on this, I have just come back and feel the truth needs to be told. The snow conditions are the worst Ive ever experienced. ie. there is none. Most of the lifts closed, and the ones open DO NOT have excellent snow conditions, they are just dangerous. Who wants to risk their life to ski on rocks. We were lucky that we had the last week, I feel sorry for people there now. OK the food is terrible, but for the price paid you cant expect anything more. Eating out is hit ...

Eating out is hit and miss, some just ok, some dire. If the snow was good I wouldnt hesitate to go back, but from now on, I will book a last minute holiday after ive seen the snow report. We go there to ski, thats the main thing, whats the point otherwise.

We stayed at
Bor and the food was like cardboard, dirty toilets and filthy shower curtain. Nice friendly people though. Ate some lovely fish and chicken a couple of nights in Red Lion then it went downhill from there. As I said though we paid 411 all inc of everything so can expect the earth. Overall it was good for the beginners in our group.p.s. ive stayed in the best hotels all over the world which served the worst food, and the worst hotels with delicious food. I am fussy though, ...

I am fussy though, everyone else in our group just ate it, I tried everywhere and the only decent meal of the week was the red lion ones. Ive lived in the alps but didnt want to pay the prices this time

re: is this a discussion board

Take it from me, i know where i can eat well here, and at a price that shames most other countries that i have visited for skiing. Im surprised at the Friendly bar, ate a great steak there just last night, but if you were not impressed that is your opinion and you are entitled to that, suggest that you find fine food in the Alps.
Louise, we could have headed you in the right direction for good food, but coping for all tastes can be a problem, no, we do not have a Macdonalds.
