was in Borovets 3rd to 10th of jan with my wife and 9 yr old son, have done Austria, France and Banff, and was some what sceptical ! What a pleasent suprise, snow was great, locals were charming, never once got short changed or ripped off, so dont know where some of you people go, but obviously not the same places as we went !! my son loved Borovets, as did my wife and I, so if you are due to go, ignore the negativity you hear and have a great time, and remember its not the resorts fault, ...

Can't believe what i read sometimes .we have been to borovets 4 times will be our 5th in feb great place lovely people they don't drag you in places they are just friendly some people moan about everything not just when they are on holiday .Go and have fun!!!!!

Stayed at the Iglika Palace Hotel and found the food was really good. The waiters in the restuarant were not very polite or helpful because the wine they were serving was very poor for the price and I made this clear to them when I complained.This was the only gripe I have and will book to go to the same hotel again.
I love Borovets, it has a charm of it's own. Only a year to wait before I go again.

Agree mate, the place is in a real old mess. Wouldnt return there and would advise against it, nice few coments there from the tourist board.If you think about it, spend a few extra quid and go to the alps or the states, as any saving you make on the holiday price is spent on the huge price increases accross the board.
And it is not a place for responsible parents.

i took my 2 girls and never had a problem we really enjoyed it but hey each to their own
