Iglilka is a good hotel for the money, we had no probs with the staff, just treat them with respect and you may get the same. Was our thirst time in boro at xmas and looking forward to next year.

We stayed at the Iglika last week, look lets be honest here, are we in Austria? Italy? USA? no, for the money and Budget these places get compared to other resorts its brillant, 4 of us were there last week, eat in the restaurant every night, drank in the bar everynight, well untill we went out and have done for the last 4 years, the staff are all excellant (always smilling) and will never look you down, I tell you what there most be some here that enjoy moaning, and complaining if they feel ...

GOD I BET I GET SOME STICK FROM THIS POST.

re: BOROVETS WHAT HORRIBLE PLACE

i went to boro last year and had a great time. I used this site before i went and was met with great advice and great things said about the place. I think its really sad to see people slating it so much this year. What could possibly have changed so much in a year. I am off on the 7th and really want to see for myself he it really has changed that much. And as for the people who keep defending it good for you and keep it up. Never mind rose tinted glasses the place is great for the money you ...

re: BOROVETS WHAT HORRIBLE PLACE

Myself and my wife went to Morzine at New Year and it was great - insofar as the staff in the resort facilities, such as in the the ski stores, at the lifts etc., were sufficiently respectful of the ever diminishing British tourist pound and there was lots of skiing.

However, it was BLOODY EXPENSIVE!!! - average cost of a meal at New Year - to book in advance by the way, €75 per head! Needless to say we made our own fun! I think that the French have the resources and experience to ...

I think that the French have the resources and experience to produce a great skiing experience (if you can stomach the eye watering prices) but I observed that in the Portes Du Soleil ski area, there are 650km of sking to be done, which is exponentially higher than anywhere in Bulgaria - not least Borovets. That said, you spend up to two and a half hours going from one amazing ski slope to another one - exactly the same!! My conclusion being that in Bulgaria you have much lesser skiing available, but also much fewer skiers/boarders too - so proportionately it's the same.

Maybe I'm either thick or I'm being too simplistic but I CAN'T WAIT for Boro 28th Feb with everything that goes with it. Very Happy

re: BOROVETS WHAT HORRIBLE PLACE

Well said Raph, if people do there homework before they go (which seems not to happen) they would notice this is not the france or austrial of this world, but people who go back time and time again would back me up saying, I bet we can have just as much fun. End of the day im 26, i dont need Olympic runs, or people thinking im the next Herman Meyer or £100 a meal restaurants a night and waiters thinking what a snob!! Sorry rant over again!!
