re: the Perelik Project

The 2nd drag lift at the top of the gondola at Borovets is to be replaced by a 4 man chair lift. The electricity cables were put in last summer and the chair lift has been ordered - due to arrive this summer for installation.

The water pipes put in at the top of Yasterbets will be finished to connect to water cannons to top up snow on these runs.

AND the diggers are going mad in Samokov this past week, on the site of the new gondola.

So maybe .......

Arron - which 6 months do you honestly think Pamporovo can offer.
November 1st to April 30th

I can only remember on 2 occassions in the last 15 years that quality skiing was available in November and that was not from the 1st.

It may happen on the odd freak year but it will never be available on a consistant basis.

I didn't mention any 6 mths. Just commenting about your post stating poor snow this year and last in Pamps. We had fantastic conditions! That's all

The new six man goes from Stoikite to the tower - its part of the overall Perelik project, but doesnt connect to Perelik

I can't see 6 mths either though you may be lucky in a few high altitude resorts in the alps but cant think of any. Just ones with glaciers

Andie your local is either stupid or living in la la land. Perelik mountain is 7000 odd ft high 1000ft lower than the top of Tadorka in Bansko which does not have 6 month skiing. Pamporovo is not high enough even with the Perelik to offer 6 month skiing.

6 month skiing is the property developers speaking - it would definitely extend the season but not by that much
