re: the Perelik Project

I agree six months is a dream - Perelik does have snow later than Pamps, and people do use it later and on into late April, however this doesn't extend the season to 6 months. Also the work on the Perelik side hasnt started yet, so its still some time off yet

re: the Perelik Project

So in theory, when it's done how will you get from Pamps to Perelik?

re: the Perelik Project

Daniel, my friend is neither stupid or living in la la land but someone who was born, bred and has lived in the Rhodopes most of his life. So what authority are you to pass comment - as for the pros and cons of the Perelik it is for individuals to do their homework and form their own opinion on the subject.

Unfortunately, there will always be negative people like you who say black is white as and when it suits them.

re: the Perelik Project

Just common sense Andie, not negative at all. And what authority do you have? As you do not ski and know sod all about mountains?

IT IS NOT HIGH ENOUGH for 6 month skiing year after year. If lucky you might just get 4 months. Does Bansko have 6 month skiing? And that is a 1000ft higher? So unless your property devloper(I dear anyone see the conection?) has magical powers it will not happen.

Daniel, Let's put the record straight here - My friend is not and never will be a property developer and I am simply quoting what he and the majority of the local people are saying - and most appear to be of the same opinion about the Perelik Project.

Granted - I may know sod all skiing but you don't have to ski to take an avid interest in the area in which you plan to live and in particular the mountains which are, not surprisingly ,a predominant feature.

Also, may I suggest you go ...

Also, may I suggest you go and have a lie down - you seem hell bent on causing trouble at the moment and your negative comments ARE getting very boring.

re: the Perelik Project

I have to say that the locals I have spoken with - many of them work in Pamps on the mountain and have also lived there all their lives - do think that opening Perelik will provide a longer season, but that 6 months is a little unrealistic. As I said earlier I know people who do ski and board Perelik towards the end of April, and as early as the start of December - so on a good year I guess thats 5 months.

Like you said Andie, there are many versions and opinions. All I am sure of is ...

re: the Perelik Project

Can someone tell what the benefit is of the new lift at the top in Snezchanka is. Will it connect Pamps to other slopes or will it just bring another resort to Pamps slopes??

re: the Perelik Project

Andie I am not hell bent on causing trouble, I do not make negative comments unless neccessary. I will not sit back and let someone post somehting as fact when it clearly is not and never will be. You want 6 month skiing go to North America or the Alps not a 7000ft mountain in Bulgaria.

re: the Perelik Project

The new lift will go from Stoikite.

There will be two additional runs for when the lift opens, and this may be added to in the future

Links a local village to the resort - there are many apartments in the village now and this will provide a link to the mountain. The people who use the apartments or local hotels in Stoikite already ski / board Pamps, so no additional traffic as such.

Start of the Perelik project - I guess you could call it 'stage 1'

Hope that helps
