That Map looks really promising it will open up a lot more of the area if it links the Shezanka peak to the mechi chai, not only does it show a cable car but also new runs and lifts for chepalare.
Hi Lloyd, I drove up to the plateau at the top of Perelik on Wednesday and they have almost completed a bar/refreshments building looks down onto Smolyan The view from up there is absolutely breathtaking. From what I understand the project has been put on the back burner for the time being but don't know why.
As for snow in May, my friend took someone up there on 26 May this year and it snowed. Granted, it didn't settle this time but he has witnessed it in the past. Something to do ...

They have almost finished the stoikite lift, the roads are now going in and they have cleared the new run which runs under neath it, its sure to be ready in about a month. Also i went for a drive to Mechi chal and they have started clearing this area and making renovation to the existing lift or so it seemed.

Drove to the top of Perilik mountain 2 weeks ago and it was great .Couldnt do the last 400mtrs as it was a no go area due to it being a no-go area [a weather or army installation i think]. Is this where the ski runs will be leaving from when built ?There is a sort of plateau there. Funnily enough there was a sort of house/hut on the plateau that is used for storing hay and is also good living accomadation .I looked inside and there were the three carpenters that did all the woodwork in my ...
