Colin are you a large group? as it does seem you have found a bargain holiday, I was thinking more on the price difference for a couple flying out and staying in a reasonable hotel HB.

My own personal opinion (and I have no axe to grind so it's just how I feel, not fact) is that:
1) the site has been dominated by trolls, those whose love for Bulgaria leaves them a shade 'blinkered' and (certainly last year) the orphange gang (worthy cause etc but there was quite a lot) of late.
2) Prices in Bulgaria have increased by a significnat percentage (greater percentage increase than other european ski resorts)

3) The infrastructure in Bulgaria has not increased in line with the price increases, skier numberrs and level of building.
i reckon that many posters were people who had been to Bulgaria many times and had decided not to go in view of the above. I didn't go for the first time last year (in 7 years) and this led to me visting here less often and also making next to no posts.
I think that a very small number of people (trolls and partisan users) take this a little to seriously. Surely it's meant to be informative and fun??!?
Peace love and hugs.
Fat Boarder (looking apprehensively forward to a future trip back to Pamps!) Cool Booze

re: Can this forum be revived?

I think with a few more threads about lost socks and we will be back on track!

The webcam arn't working and a lot of people become addicted to looking for the snow. This possibly dosnt help with the traffic to the site.

Plus the bad spelling and terrible grammer. What more can I say!!

(yes I know most of the bad spelling and terrible grammer comes from me ) Razz

Chamonix against BG???
Very hard to decide.
It takes one nano second to choose the first option doesn't matter the price

re: Can this forum be revived?

IMO depends if you do off piste or not - For that Cham amazing. Otherwise for me its too spread out across a number of area e.g. Le Tour, Agentier etc although there are many, many more pistes than BG, just a take abit of getting to.

I also queued for 1.5 hours for the Cham gondola in March 03 and Cham's so expensive when I was there it's untrue - £25 for fondue (bread a cheese), £4 - £5 a pint.
