I can just tell you are going to love it all Very Happy

Just check prices in restaurants/bars, negotiate fares before getting into taxis and pack a plastic bottle for drinks and some snacks for your daughter to save on expenses.

I agree with TD on some medical supplies - I use Deep Freeze gel for knocks and strains - you will be ok but I take it your daughter won't be drinking to deaden pain Exclamation Very Happy

El Tel - bike helmet does not give enough protection especially to the back and sides of the head!

boab1 - go on you know you want to really Wink I took my daughters and I think yours will pick it up in no time. Mine were coming out with me and faster after a week. they can board now too but say itis easier to ski on the body. The whimps Very Happy

As for helmets Decathlon normally have them very cheap but I am sure you will be able to get them out there too?

Hello

I saw a good brand ski helmet in TK Max for 29.95p. I examined it and it looked really good. That was in the Manchester store but I expect they have them in all of their branches.

I'm sure we will have a fantastic time and luv every minute of it.....even the bumps n bruises....all part of the experience as they say! The main thing for me is that my daughter luv's it....if she's happy I will be happy Very Happy

As we are staying in The Lucky Bansko hotel we will be closer to the old town than the Gondola, so it makes sense that we eat n drink around there plus from the comments I see it will be cheaper also! Although we will still go up closer to the gondola at times for ...

Good idea to take some pain relieving gel for my daughter (thankfully or should I say hopefully she still has a good few years ahead of her before she tries out the demon drink!!!) although no doubt I will end up using the gel.....old muscles n joints aren't what they used to be! So Rattea, if your kids say boarding is tough on the body and you take pain killers! then I'd be a wreck with it!!! Very Happy
(Although In saying all that I would luv to give it a go!)

Ibruprofen gel is an anti-imflamatory, the pain relief comes from less inflamation. Booze does help the pain, but if the swelling is still there, the movement won't be. . .

Likewise arnica brings the bruising out rather than leaving the fluid inbetween the tissues where the pressure still causes tenderness.

You will also need mild pain relief for you both, and stress the importance of warm up / cool down to your daughter. It's good practise even if most people are too Cool to be seen ...

Happy holidays!!

PS I always pack cold rememdies too, but the chemists out there are spot on despite the language barrier.

PPS - Glas you are controlling your excitment. x

So are you a fountain of all knowledge then Tufty!!! Did the drink problem come from the skiing? or the other way around? Very Happy
