Spare bobble hat, incase you lose your other.
Arctic Buff is handy to cover neck and chin.
DONT wear Cotton under gortex, you will die of hypothermia if you get caught on a skilift due to a power cut. Cotton doesn't remove moisture from the skin, if you are sweating on the way down, get on the lift, then end up at -8C for 40mins with sweat soaked cotton under a gortex jacket your body temp will drop because the moisture next to your skin will act like a refridgerant. marino wool and polyester(damart) underwear take the moisture away to the gortex immediately keeping you dry.

re: Ski helmet or not?

I had to develop the drink problem to be able to ski with any ability at all. 2 double vodka redbulls after creakie and I can ski reds all day. I need a top-up to get down a black.

I decant my confidence into a hip flask, which I killed last year landing on it. Had to buy another but there was some glory to be had from the bruise alone. Best Bruise of Ski-A-Thong week!

Boab - Not a fountain either, but I've learnt to hold my own Booze even if I do dribble, splutter, burp and phart!

re: Ski helmet or not?

After skiing down towards the end of the day in Bansko...looks like a lady was either knocked over or she fell on your own accord onto her head. She wasn't wearing a helmet and they needed to call for medical assistance as she was knocked out after hitting her head on the ground...could have been different if wearing one?

Ski safe everyone!

yip helmets are defo the way to go.....even the most innocent of falls could result in a right bad injury.
