re: WARNING Buzz bar

Not long returned from borovets and i defo got a bad feeling about the buzz bar. The bar staff were not on this planet! Very rude and arrogant and they refused to give change back ! WHICH IS THEFT!

However one thing i did notice is how heavily "english" focused the resort is, and indeed the buzz bar was FULL of us drunken brits. I cant help thinking that part of the reason its so dodgy in there is because of us lot in the first place!

re: WARNING Buzz bar

Funny enough late one night in Franco's bar i ordered 2 drinks and give 20leva and had no change off the waitress, when i asked for my change she said i only give 10leva...

I got rather annoyed at this and being called a liar !!! so she sent the surcurity guy over,he tryed the bully tactics but being 6'3 and 17 stone when i stood up and asked him outside well, they all backed down and give me my change,i refused and asked for a refund to which i got no questions asked...

Strange but ...

Strange but anywhere in the world people who are drunk will get ripped off,i know i used to work for a certain sports travel company and a good 90% of lost wallets and passports that were reported stolen were aunder the influence!!

I agree at 18 he is old enough to go on holiday on his own, so this is not lizzies fault, it is unfortunate that people will do this.

I am glad to read your stories, as just having come back from Borovets on Sat.Whilst out there my son had a similar experience, whcih really frightened us.

My son, who is also 18, went in the Buzz bar on his first night. He drank the same as his friend, but ended up in a very serious state. My husband was called to sort him out and he was saying that he was acting very strange, it didn't seem just drink related.

He had to spend the night in the medical centre, where he was unconcious and couldn't be woken up. My husband spent the night there and was worried he would stop breathing. It was a terrible night.

At first we thought he had drank too much and had a long flight and day. But the more we have thought about it, the more we think he could of had his drink spiked. As my son said he didn't even drink that much and then suddenly he couldn't remember anything. His friends also got very worried as they couldn't do anything with him.

This is very worrying situation,if it is happening, as they will be giving the place a bad reputation and will put off people going back again.

We all spent the rest of the evenings of our holiday in the Alpina, which was great and had very freindly staff.

I would warn anyone to stay away just incase, as eventually something very serious could happen.
